What are skin tags?
Skin tags are small, soft, benign growths that appear on the skin’s surface. They are usually flesh-colored or slightly darker and often hang off the skin by a narrow stalk. While skin tags are harmless, they can develop in areas where friction occurs, such as the neck, underarms, eyelids, and groin, leading to irritation and discomfort.
Understanding Cryopen Treatment
Cryopen is an FDA approved and CE marked cryotherapy device used to remove benign skin lesions from the face and body.
Cryopen is an advanced and non-invasive cryotherapy technique used for removing skin tags, millia and other skin lesions. The procedure involves using a specialised device that emits a precise stream of nitrous oxide at freezing temperatures. When the Cryopen is applied to the targeted area, it freezes the cells, causing them to die off.

The Cryopen Procedure

- Preparation: The area around the skin tag is cleansed thoroughly to avoid infections.
- Cryopen Application: The Cryopen is carefully applied to the base of the skin tag using a pen-like applicator, delivering the freezing agent directly to the tissue.
- Freezing Process: The freezing temperature destroys the cells in the skin tag, causing it to fall off.
- Post-Treatment Care: After the procedure, the treated area will be sensitive. Our doctor will provide you with proper aftercare instructions to promote healing and minimise any discomfort.
