What does the treatment do?
By selecting Program A, B or C, your IPL Photofacial Near Honolulu Hawaii provider can customize your LimeLight Facial to your skin type and selectively treat the brown and/or red pigmented areas on your skin. It’s the heating of the pigmented brown or red cells that causes the therapeutic effect. What do treatments feel like? When will I see results?

How does it work?
The Cutera Limelight facial uses Non-invasive Intense Pulsed Light energy (IPL) which is delivered into the the skin. For the treatment of pigmentation, the laser breakdowns the pigment into smaller particles, before rising up to the surface of the skin to flake away as part of the body’s natural healing process. The target chromophore for vascular treatments is hemoglobin (blood). The IPL light penetrates the vascular target vessel, the energy heats up and coagulates the blood inside the vessel altering the lining of the vessel which collapses and seal.

Avoid sun exposure and use a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen of SPF30+ to prevent further sun damage. Avoid heat such as hot baths and saunas for 1- 2 days. Avoid skin irritants for few days after treatment e.g retinol.
